To continue our exploration of #awesomeLetterheads, we’re sharing another object from the Georgij Sanji Zagadinow collection of Kalmyk materials, which span from 1834 to 1999. The Kalmyk people were deported by the Soviets during World War II and Zagadinow immigrated to the United States in the 1950s. After settling in Philadelphia, Zagadinow ran the Society for the Promotion of Kalmyk Culture. The Republic of Kalmykia is the only region in Europe where Buddhism is the most practiced religion.Call number: Ms. Coll. 1318 Box 3, Folder 10http://ow.ly/szPs30dW7go#SCPC #KislakCenter #Pennlibraries #librariesofinstagram #librariesofig #specialcollections #Buddhism #Kalmykia #Kalmyk #letterheads #Philadelphia -- source link
