I should be fine for school,” he explains, resisting the urge to tug at his face mask, and he settles for fiddling with his hair.Akechi’s concern doesn’t fade. If anything, it’s joined by an air of a shared weight. “I suppose I understand. My schedule makes it difficult to have so much as an afternoon free, unless I want to fall behind on my responsibilities,” he says, one hand resting on his chin. “Still, the changing weather can leave the immune system weaker than usual. Make sure you’re getting enough rest.”“Like you?”He chuckles. “You’ve got me! Well, if you’re insistent on pushing through, you should swing by this little restaurant- ah, yes, it shouldn’t be too out of the way on your commute home. Ask for the flu season soup- it’ll perk you right up. I’ll send you the address,” he promises, pulling out his phone. “There.”“Thanks, Akechi,” Akira says softly, cheeks warm. He hopes it’s not from a fever; he’d really have to stay home then.
