peashooter85:Ithaca Auto and Burglar Gun,A double barrel shotgun pistol, the Ithaca Auto and Burglar Gun was marketed as a good home defense gun and an excellent gun to carry in a vehicle (thus it has the name auto). Most models came in 12 and 20 gauge, although some were made in .410, 16 gauge, and 28 gauge, only 11 of which have been documented to exist. While marketed to the public, these handy little pistols became a favorite of guards and police, as well as some less than savory characters. Production began in 1922 but promply ended in 1933 with the passage of the National Firearms Act, which made shotguns with a barrel length under 18 inches illegal unless one purchased a $200 dollar tax stamp.Sold At Auction: $10,350 + $200 NFA Tax Transfer Stamp -- source link
