Ms. Codex 55 - Statuta communitatis Viglani edita per homines et communitatem dicti loci Viglani, diocesis et capitaneatus AstensisThis manuscript features some statutes of Vigliano d'Asti, a town 31 miles from Turin, in Italy. The statutes are preceded by a section entitled, “Rubrice capitulorum et statutorum … ” It was written in Vigliano in the 15th century. What is worth noting is that the text block is wrapped in an early 11th-century fragment of a homiliary, preserving Augustine’s Sermones in Vetero Testamento, Sermon 41, and his In Evangelium Johannis Tractatus, Tr. 24.The text block is in good condition, but it is pulling away from the cover. The leather of the spine is badly deteriorated and almost entirely split apart. A manuscript like this can teach us way more than the text itself seems to suggest! You can find the facsimile here, and here additional information. -- source link
