ciameth:Animorphs meme! What Animorphs fan didn’t spend a bunch of time thinking about what animals they’d acquire if they had access to the blue cube? Fill it out! Because I’m a nerd, and because the news of a potential Animorphs film sent me spiraling back into Animorphs fandom, I decided to figure out what my primary morphs would be if I used the blue cube. Also, I always need more excuses to draw animals. Drawing animals is fun.1) My first morph would be my pet cat. He’s accessible, and I’d like to experience that house cat agility.2) Primary battle morph (high dps) would be a male African Lion. Yeah, David kind of soured this morph selection, but it really is an effective fighting machine and that mane offers some protection against Hork-bajir blades. 3) The kids favored birds of prey which… totally understandable. Eagles and hawks are cool. You know what’s also cool, and less likely to be mobbed by a crow? A Turkey Vulture. The keen sense of smell could also come in handy.4) Secondary battle morph (tank) would be a Texas feral hog. These beasts can weight nearly 1000 lbs and pigs can do a ton of damage. Unlike bison, moose, or other herbivorous morphs that could also do a lot of damage, a feral hog brain is less likely to panic in a battle. Tusks, teeth, hooves and a thick hide are great for plowing through Controllers and shaking off dracon beams.5) Go-to aquatic morph would have to be a Common Dolphin. Acrobatic, quick, near the top of the food chain, and native to my area so it blends in.6) Incognito morph for spying on secret Yeerk meetings: a Western Fence Lizard. Excellent reflexes, can climb anywhere, good eyesight, and all over the place in my area. No one will notice one more lizard.7) When I need to spy from the air, I’m morphing Western Gull. Few aerial predators mess with something the size of a Western Gull, yet they’re ubiquitous. 8) My fun morph for just enjoying myself and taking a break would be an Atlantic Yellow-nosed Albatross. I think gliding using the wind and waves would be incredibly relaxing. I would love to spend hours over the ocean. Not native to my area, but I’d make some local birders very excited if I were accidentally spotted in this morph!9) If I was blasted back through time to acquire one animal, I think it’d be cool to be Simbakubwa kutokaafrika. A massive carnivore rivaling the modern polar bear in size, this extinct hyaenodont preyed on rhinoceroses. -- source link
