Only a few kilometres later, passing a hill, the view opened to a large beautiful valley and on its bottom there was a huge pug-ugly bunch of incredibly ugly brown buildings.It turned out that this crime of urban design in fact was the “modern part” of Cuenca - the city we were about to visit. You can imagine that we weren’t happy when google maps lead us to our hotel exactly in these most terrible buildings (what you see here is the view from the hotel room’s window…) -- source link
