One can walk up the steep old streets of the old town of Cuenca and enjoy spectacular views to all sides - where ever you look it goes down, down, down… The town itself is also spectacular with all it’s very old houses and the beautiful little streets, but when you reach the very top (which per se is absolutely worthwhile because of the views that open to your excited eye) there is a car parking and a row of restaurant of high prices and low quality and in front of each door there is a guy or a girl trying to get you in, reading loud to you the menu that you are looking at as if you were an illiterate and in the end we had to flee from all the obtrusive employees trying to sell us their shit. There is one good restaurant right at the end of the row. Well, it looks good, and the luxury prices promise… but the staff is so very unfriendly and insisted to place us on a table in the back room instead on the table we wanted, that I let him know that I know the word for “fuck you” and we went down to town to find something to eat. -- source link
