So stoked for this new Steven Pinker book! Steven Pinker’s books on evolutionary psychology have been a major influence in how I see the world. Here, he uses the same lens of psychology to dissect the act of writing — why and how we human animals do it — and comes up with a writing style and usage guide. Oliver Burkemann expounds on why it’s different from other writing guides that have come before. I’m personally inclided to trust writing advice from someone who wrote a book on how language works. -- source link
