fancymade: DIY - Sweetheart Candy Bra With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I wanted to create a cute costume piece fitting for the occasion. I had been wanting to incorporate candy into my costumes, and well, these Sweethearts Candy seemed perfect. I created this bra top piece specifically for Insomniac’s CRUSH Valentine’s Day rave, which is coming up on February 15, 2014. This piece can be worn at any rave or love day occasion/festival with high waisted shorts or a cute tutu of your choice. You can pretty much apply this tutorial to any candy you’d like to use. Enjoy, and as always, happy crafting! :) Materials: Sweetheart Candy (2 bags) Pink Bra or Bra Top Hot Glue Gun Hot Glue Sticks Mod Podge Paint Brush Steps: Begin by opening your sweetheart candy bag and placing them in a bowl. This will allow you to view the colors better upon assembling your bra. Next, pick out a pattern in which you will be placing throughout your bra. I choose green, pink, purple, blue, yellow, then orange. Take the first heart color in your patter and apply a good amount of hot glue and begin to glue down starting on the outer corner of your bra. (3a. - 3b. continue hot glueing your hearts all throughout your bra until the whole surface is covered. - 4a. Repeat steps 3-3b onto the opposite side until your second surface is covered as well. Now take your Mod Podge glue and paint brush and pour a bit of your glue into the inside of the Mod Podge container cap. (5a. Taking your paint brush, dab a good amount of the mod pdge glue over the surface of each candy heart. Repeat until the whole surface is covered.[The Mod Podge Glue is a water based sealer, this will provide your candy with some extra protection] Allow to dry, and you are pretty much done. PS.
