This July 4th, lets all remember the sacrifices that had to be made to make this great nation of ours the place it is today. Let us then think about what sacrifices can be made in our own personal lives in order to make it even better. Let us ask ourselves what we can do on a personal level to make America a better place to be. Lets ask ourselves the hard questions. Did anyone in my family ever own slaves? Have I benefited from being part of a society built upon such injustice? Have I benefitted from White Privilege? If you’re answer to any of these questions is yes, then you really should consider making reparations. A society built upon injustice cannot long stand unless those injustices are met and atoned for. So please, this July 4th, go down to your local Federal Department of Reparations building and sign yourself up. Great sacrifices have been made in the name of independence, but the greatest sacrifice you can make for your country, is to sacrifice your own independence for the good of the country! Not only will you be volunteering your own services for the greater good, all of your property will be forfeit as well. Your house, your car, your savings, all of your clothes (none of which you will be needing any longer) will go to help the less fortunate, while you will have the peace of mind that comes with knowing you’ve done something eminently patriotic. So please, this July 4th, do the right thing, and surrender your independence and help us build a better, brighter and truly just America! -- source link
