birbmania:I don’t think I’ve ever posted a picture of my bird feeding station…I’m putting out sunflower chips, berry suet, whole/shelled/suet peanuts, safflower seeds, and black oil sunflower seeds. Every morning I pour cracked corn on the ground for the doves, juncos, and sparrows. I’ll stop when the juncos and sparrows leave till next winter. The blackbirds are back and notorious for swinging feeders around, so all types of food will be on the ground throughout the spring and summer for them, the doves, and baby birds (who don’t grasp the concept of eating from feeders very quickly, I’ve noticed).I set up the pole in the back and the 3 colorful feeders today. In March or April, my hummingbird feeder will fill the empty hook. The dead coneflower plants will be replaced then, too. I’ve left the ugly things be because the birds like to use them as perches right now.tldr; I may or may not have an obsession with feeding wild birds. -- source link
