Niall hands him another drink because he is considerate like that. Taylor shoots him a dirty look. “Tell us who you think is the best man or woman and we’ll leave you alone.”Ed rubs his face tiredly. “Fine. See that lad over there?” Taylor frowns. “The one who can’t stop making ginger and cat puns in his speech?”“Yup.” Ed takes a sip of his drink before he continues. “The best man always get together with the maid of honor right? Or well, man of honor in Harry’s case.”Niall looks over and catches the guy in question staring at them from across the room. Niall gives a little wave. Harry breaks into a dimpled smile and waves back. “I’m in. First one to get his number wins?”“Why not up the ante?” Taylor says as she reapplies her lipstick. Niall sincerely hopes that Harry doesn’t have a thing for red lips. “How about the first to get a kiss from pretty boy instead?”Niall is impressed. “Feeling confident eh, Swifty?”Taylor shrugs. “You know what they say. Go big or go home.”“Deal.” They shake on it solemnly as Ed watches on with mild horror. “Take it easy on Harry okay? The poor kid won’t know what hit him.”“Teddy please. Instead he sees Ed’s best man coming toward him. Niall isyoung, around Harry’s age, but nobody’s perfect. Anyway, he’d given the kind ofwarm, effusive best man speech that made Harry instantly want to be his bestfriend. Niall beams athim. “Harry, your speech was legend!”“Really?”Harry is startled. People usually don’t compliment him on his speakingabilities.“Yes!”Niall says. “So many funny jokes!”“Iagree,” someone behind Harry says. Harry turns to see Ed’s best woman. Herspeech had been poetic and moving, with some amazing metaphors involvingrainstorms and lipstick. Taylor touches Harry’s sleeve. “I loved what yousaid about cats. By the way, I have two cats. He loves meeting new people. “I know many attractive and well-builtathletes,” says Niall. “They tweet me all the time.”“Don’t beweird, Niall,” says Taylor. She peers at Harry with nervous intensity. “Youreyes are so green.”  “Iguess,” says Harry. He looks from Niall to Taylor. They’re both soattractive and they’re looking at him like he’s the most important person inthe world. “Fancy a bit of fresh air?”“Yes,” Taylor and Niall sayimmediately. Niall takes his left hand and pulls him toward the balcony.Taylor takes his other hand and pulls him toward the back door.
