jonathaneunice: angelspukeinyourbrain: So yes, Brigitte Bardot was a great beauty, and then she got old as we all inevitably do. Then she looked like this. I know we all think we’re never going to grow old, but it’s going to happen. If someone this strikingly good-looking with nice genetics, ends up looking like this, then what am I or you going to look like? It’s not like she’s hideous, but the difference is…striking. I have pretty good genetics. I’m 35, but look like I’m in my early 20s. This picture kind of drives it all home though. It’s all going to change, and then what? What am I going to look like then? Will I recognize myself in the mirror. Will I always feel young no matter how old I am? I’m kind of scared. Exactly. This isn’t what age does to yet another average-cute girl. This is Brigitte Fucking Bardot. Star of stage and screen. Sex kitten. Internationally renown for her beauty. If you are young, or beautiful, or have the pleasure of associating with same, wonderful. Enjoy. But also enjoy more than these things, as they will not last. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have spent much of my youth with the old women of my family. Grandmothers, great-grandmothers, great-grand-aunts—some of these women were born in the 1800s, and all before 1920. Largely as a result, I appreciate women of all ages, and for that I am thankful. -- source link
