Cause I remember Cap asking why they didn’t make a ton of shields for everyone in the army in the first movie, and Howard said there wasn’t enough. Not an expert, @takashi0 thoughts? Yeah, but don’t expect twitter race-baiting idiots to acknowledge or care about that. Wakanda may have been advanced, but ‘equitable’? Their political system is apparently feudal. But woke eight year-olds can’t be bothered with trifling details like that. Sidenote: I wonder what the very first things the Wakandans made out of vibranium were… I want to point out that you can’t build an entire society out of a shield-sized lump of vibranium. You can, however, build a shield. And when the richest person in the United States did manage to purchase that tiny lump of vibranium, they gave it to the best representative of their country they ever had, who used it to protect people from Nazis in World War 2. That’s not nothing. (”Equitable and advanced” societies have kings now. Haha, good one.) And they never had a chance to study the element with more advanced techniques and instruments after that because the only known example in existence was lost under the Arctic ice next to a Capsicle for seventy years. Gee, I wonder what Tony’s new bullshit nanite-based armour for Avengers 3 is made out of. (Actually he’d already synthesized vibranium in IM2 but hey, it’s the kind of jerk thing Tony’d do after Civil War.) That was only in the novel, and it was retconned away from Vibranium when Cap’s movie came out. http://marvelcinematicuniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Tony_Stark%27s_New_Element Currently unnamed. Also, the “black people” let all the other African countries go screw themselves without lifting a finger. Huh, I assumed Stark invented Vibranium, and was hoping there’d be some discussion of Stark Enterprises ruining the Wakandan economy in a later movie :-( I saw that Game Theory episode too. I think Tony was in the ballpark, but he’s clearly not quite there. -- source link
