So here I am, on the sidewalks of downtown at 9:30 in the morning, taking pictures of my new Office Manager so she can document her “already so cool” day.“So…” Melissa had begun, back at the coffee shop after telling me a little about the shopping she was planning to do tonight, “I got our drinks to go ‘cuz thought we could walk back to office..”“It’s…twelve blocks.”“Yeah but it’s so nice outside!”“And our cars are here.”“Awwww please???”Oh my goodness.Well, while we had chatted casually at the table, the walk through the streets - and it was a nice day, I have to concede - was more…play. “Oooo take my picture here, take my picture there!” Lots of her grabbing my arm, us walking together…too closely. She’d even bought a carnation from a street vendor, tucked it behind my ear with a girlish giggle. In fact she giggled nearly the whole way. She even admitted it herself: “I’m sorry I’m being such a little girl about this whole thing, this meeting, but I’m just so excited,” she’d bubbled, “I’ve never felt so…professional.”Though I started the day with the best intentions, I have to confess her enthusiasm was contagious. Despite the looks we were getting - well, the looks were mostly for her, those long legs strutting down the street in high heels - I was actually enjoying myself. Enthralled a bit, I must admit, just to be in the presence of this bubbly, pretty girl. “So, what are you doing this weekend?” I asked her, as she tossed away both our now-empty cups.“Oh, y’know,” she answered, brow knit suddenly in thought. “Gym. Kitty…oh!” Her face lit up with recollection. “My friends want me to go on a bike ride with them. Maybe I’ll do that.” The :click click click: of her heels continued, steadily, until she paused for a moment to readjust her shoe, grabbing my shoulder for balance. “Darnnit! I think my feet are swelling,” she remarked with a little frown, before taking my arm in hers and setting us off again. We strolled for a couple moments before she picked up our conversation again. “What are you doing for the weekend??”Still trying to ignore the press of her big left breast against my side, I told her about my wife’s garden club meeting on Sunday, that I’d be doing yard work all weekend.“Oh cool…” she offered, before suddenly finding herself another opportunity for one last pose, before we got to the office, “take my picture again??” -- source link
