#Repost @ywcapierceco (@get_repost)・・・Maya Angelou was an internationally known poet, memoirist, and civil rights activist. She is best known for her first autobiography, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, which tells her life up to the age of 17. Many of her works center on racism, identity, family and travel. Angelou joined the Harlem Writers Guild, and organized with Martin Luther King Jr, Malcom X, James Baldwin and countless others.
