Claire McCarthy I read the novel when it first came out, and I thought it was deeply flawed but would make an interesting movie if about 30% of its plot was changed.By all accounts, it’s unfortunately a very faithful adaptation, but it’s so pretty that I almost want to see it anyway… I’m in for the blatant Pre-Raphaelite imagery. -- source link
