♦️ Queen ♦️I finally came to draw Yonvi’s mother - Queen Calanthe. She actually doesn’t appear in the story since she passed prior to the events, but she appears in flashbacks and is talked about often. She also is a very important character. ❤️ Calanthe wasn’t royal by birth. She was adopted and raised by a count and his wife, who never had own children. The family however never told anybody about the girl’s origins and so she was always known as a noble lady. King Roderich and her fell in love at the yearly summer festival in Vitteln and soon got married.Rocherich loved Calanthe’s joyful and live loving nature and how different she was compared to every other woman who was a candidate for his wife-to-be. Together they became parents to Ellyonvi. Calanthe and Yonvi used to have a strong mother-daughter bond and shared a lot of characteristics. Calanthe loved leaving the castle, Yonvi and her always went on long rides or trips to the town.Calanthe also was very kind and understanding to her people and the town’s folk loved her as their queen.A few weeks after Yonvi’s 18th birthday however she fell incredibly sick and no doctor was able to tell the cause.Soon she passed of the unknown sickness and days later also Yonvi started to show similar symptoms.People started spreading the rumor that it was a curse that had befallen Calanthe and that after her death was passed over to the princess. Yonvi’s sickness however only shows in periods. Well, Calanthe had a secret not even her family knew about. There was a reason for her death… Yonvi is a spitting image of her mother.(Arro von Spey & Ellyonvi are my OCs from my story ‚VOGELFREY‘) -- source link
