jezwanda: Healing Spell for Joints Here is a spell for people to wear a joint brace to shorten the amount of time you need to wear the brace and to lessen the pain. THIS WILL NOT CURE YOU OF THE CONDITION THAT MAKES YOU WEAR THE BRACE. You need: Ice A candle Any medications you take for joint pain Your joint brace (wrist, knee, ankle, etc) “I am Strong and Flexible” sigil Herb mixture Herb mixture: Salt: to draw out pain (and because, if you don’t have salt in your spell, is it really witchcraft?) Red pepper flakes: Capsicum in peppers is a topical pain reliever Willow bark: contains acetylsalicylic acid, which is the active ingredient of aspirin Mint: menthol is a common muscle soother Glucosamine/fish oil: helps improve joint function (sub for another healthy oil if necessary such as olive oil) Other options: Camphor works as a muscle smoother, especially in conjunction with mint. Calendula helps to heal bones, if you are wearing a brace due to a recent break or fracture. If your brace has a metal insert, remove it and draw the sigil on it using a sharpie. If your brace does not have an insert, find a inconspicuous place to draw the sigil. Rub the ice on the brace, then move it over the candle, your meds, and finally rub some of the oil/herb mixture onto it. While you do this, say: “Ice to cool the pain, heat to relax the joint, meds to ease the pain, herbs to soothe the pain, to prevent it, and to release it” Let your brace sit in the middle until the ice is melted and the candle has burned out. **Notes: if you are using your whole brace and not just a metal insert, keep it far enough away from the candle to prevent it catching fire. Immolating your brace will NOT help with your joint pain. Do not put the herb mixture directly on your brace, it is not meant for skin contact. This spell was designed around tendinitis, which has a tendency to flare up and then subside. If you suffer from chronic joint pain, feel free to leave off the part about prevention. You can just skip, and change the words to better suit you. THIS SPELL IS NOT MEANT TO REPLACE MEDICAL CARE, I AM NOT A DOCTOR. -- source link
