almondmelkk:This is going to be this weeks meal prep. A nice balance between carbohydrates and protein as well as lots of greens full of micronutrients. I started by adding a little broccoli to a slaw mix I bought from Trader Joe’s (kale, cabbage and Brussels sprouts), black rice and a 3 grain tempeh cooked in a delicious sesame teriyaki sauce I bought at Sprouts. I lightly sautéed the veggies just until they were tender and then sautéed the tempeh with the sauce. Although I do love cooking, sometimes I have to be honest with myself about the time I realistically have to meal prep. I would love to make absolutely everything from scratch but I don’t have time for that ♀️ I find myself over complicating things and then not meal prepping at all. Next thing I know, I’m at work constantly wasting more money on meals that aren’t nutritious. So I pick my battles, and sometimes that means buying items like sauces that are slightly pre-made. By doing this meal prep is super fast and easy! Plus my homemade meals are still wayyyy more nutritious than to-go food. -- source link
