penstab:Here are some journal covers I made that I’m very proud of! They’re made with an interior board covered with kraft-tex, which is sturdy and doesn’t get damaged by water (crafters actually wash and crumple it to get a soft pseudo-leather feel). I love the stuff. I made them because I couldn’t get journal covers that matched my needs (non-standard size, wide enough to be filled with multiple thin booklets like a traveler’s journal, but with a stiffer cover for more support). The empty cover and the small one stitched in red were my prototypes and my first time working with kraft-tex, so some of the stitching is uneven, but I got it down after that >:’) They’re all hand-stitched.I’ve been tossing them in bags and carrying them around with me since earlier this year, and they’re holding up excellently! I’ve even spilled things on them without a problem. I’ve been making my own booklets with various kinds of paper to put in them (there’s 3 in the small book, four in the large!), but I could’ve made standard size covers to fit commercial notebooks, too. That said, if anyone would be interested in commissioning a custom cover, hit me up!Fer made me one of these and I LOVE IT -- source link
