vagabondvivant:I’m not a superstitious guy; I don’t really believe in good luck charms or wards or the like. Though that said I do feel a little safer keeping my Vagabond’s Totem on hand. The contents include:my Pilgrim’s Shella charm of St. Christopher, patron saint or travelers, from my mothera train-flattened penny I’ve carried in my wallet for 14 yearsa traditional Ambahan Poem (I really need to get it translated) and a piece of fabric handwoven by the Yakan Tribe in Zamboanga, both gifts from a dear friend. The only thing it’s missing is the small glass evil eye that my sister brought me from Greece, years ago. It’s currently watching over the few boxes I have stored in her basement — I’ll have to rescue it when I can. So I call it a “travel blog” but it’s basically more of a “ramblings of a modern day hobo” than anything else. Either way, you should follow it because this tumblr is on hiatus for now. Besides, I usually post pictures and everybody likes pictures. -- source link
