Y'all are the most limpwristed whiners I’ve ever seen. Based on what? Aggressive anti-state ideology. How is it aggressive to not want to be forced to go to war and give up your freedom and even your life for a government that has no interest in your well being? Neo-Rousseauians pls Big words for someone with a mouthful of the governments dick. That hardly seems called for. But calling the people in this thread/talking about this subject limpwristed whiners was super called for I see. It’s okay when you do it but when it comes back to you it offends your delicate sensibilities? My apologies. Limpwristed meaning weak in terms of strength. Whiners in terms of complaining about the draft (presumably because it’s too much/not strong enough). Call me whatever you want but keep it germane to the discussion. I know what the insult means there isn’t anything ambiguous about that. What I said is relevant. But if being against the draft is too aggressively anti state for you we are unlikely to agree with this actual subject. But if you are going to through insults particularly calling people whiners don’t go full whiner yourself. My way of looking at it is that if you’re not willing to live and die for country then get out. The draft would only be called when it was needed. If you’re more willing to live under Russia and chinas boots than to fight then we don’t really need you breathing our air and eating our food anyway. You are entitled to that opinion. My way of looking at is slavery is bad inherently and I don’t have conditions that justify slavery in any situation. And I don’t believe anyone owes their life to the state. I also don’t believe in kicking everyone that disagrees with me out of the country or that it’s my air and food they are taking up or that the options are either bow down to the state or get out. I do not owe the government anything most especially my life nor do I need to be willing to die in order to justify my place in this country. If you think that it is your duty to be ready to live and die for this country might I assume you are in the military currently? Where do you draw the line on this willingness to lay down your life for the government? Do you only support the draft because it seems unlikely or far off? Based on what you said you might also be in favor of mandatory military service as a condition of existing in this country so could you clarify your position? To what extent are you against personal freedom? If you consider yourself part of the state, if you take up the states resources, and if you depend on the state for protection then you quite literally owe the state your life. If you don’t believe where you live and what you own is worth dying for then you don’t belong or truly want to be there. I believe that citizenship and all its benefits should only be given to those that truly want to be here. Or take the whole system down and let everyone fend for themselves. Because why should you get fat and live peacefully while others fight your battles You are entitled to your opinion no matter how disgusting and dangerous it is. At least you don’t pretend to advocate freedom. Just jump right onto the authoritarian train. I’m going to assume by your lack of answers to my question that there is no line which is too far for the government to go. Since you owe absolutely everything to the government they are free to take everything including your life with no justification at any time. Slavery is fine, murder, corruption any crime is fine if the government does it because they can do whatever they want because you owe it to them to bow down and not ask questions. It’s your duty. It’s that invisible contract you signed upon being born in this country. And if you don’t comply no punishment is too harsh? Is that what you think? Also you are confusing where I live and what I own for the government. Those are not the same thing. The government owes us not the other way around. We give them power they do not give us rights. I do not owe a damn thing to the government especially not my life and neither do you. If you think we are living peacefully you are so painfully unaware my heart aches for you. You are completely and utterly despicable honestly but at least you admit to being against liberty though I guess so at least you are not in denial about your horrendous ideology. -- source link
