By the time you’re done, you’ll want to know more and see more… Ignacio Rivera aka Papí Coxxx, founder of P3, identifies as a Queer, gender-fluid, Two-Spirit, polyamorous, kinky, Black-Boricua. Ignacio’s people are from Borikén, also known as Puerto Rico. Ignacio, who prefers the gender-neutral pronoun “they,” is a lecturer, activist, sex worker, sex educator,wanna-be-filmmaker and performance artist, sharing spoken word, one-person shows, and storytelling internationally. Ignacio’s body of work focuses on gender and sexuality; specifically on queer, trans, kink and sexual liberation issues within a race/class dynamic. Their written work has appeared in ColorLines, Ebony, Yellow Medicine Review and in their chapbooks,co-authored by Maceo Cabrera Estévez, Las Alas; Ingridients; and Thoughts, Rants and What Some Might Call Poetry. As a lecturer/trainer, Ignacio has spoken at home and abroad on such topics as racism, sexism, homo/transphobia, transgender issues, sexual liberation, anti-oppression, anti-violence, multi-issue organizing and more. Ignacio has provided consult services to various organizations in New York City, conducting professional development trainings for NYC high school staff. A wanna-be-filmmaker, Ignacio has produced several shorts, to include, “Crossing”, “They” and Transient”. Each exploring the nuances and intricacies of the gender fluidity and “adult” nature of Ignacio. As a sex worker Ignacio has performed as a dancer, Pro-dom and is currently working in the adult film industry. They can be seen in their debut performance with Pink and White Productions, “In Search of The Wild Kingdom” and Morty Diomand’s “Trans Entity: The Nasty Love of Papi and Wil.” Most recently, Ignacio performed in, “Mommy is Coming,” which was slated to release in February 2012 at the Berlin Film Festival. It is an “adult” comedy Directed by Cheryl Dunye and produced by Sarah Schulman. As if all of this were not enough, Ignacio is also one of the founding board member of Queers for Economic Justice; a progressive non-profit organization committed to promoting economic justice in a context of sexual and gender liberation. Truly, the tale of two-spirits lies here within Ignacio. They are not only an adult performer, but are as invested in the written, spoken and activist arenas, promoting and highlighting the ever changing and ever expanding universe of QueerBOIS. Cheers!
