This is such a cute and helpful idea, especially since some people either didn’t grow up with someone who could teach them this stuff or they grew up with parents who did everything for them. I knew a lot of guys in college who didn’t know how to do laundry or cook! Mom How Do IDad How Do I Fantastic idea. Especially since people can be super judgy if you don’t know the everyday things of adulthood. Maybe your dad was a car guy but didn’t really know how to fix the stove burner. Maybe your mom was a domestic goddess or maybe she was a way better accountant. Maybe both or none. Maybe you didn’t have anyone to care to show you anything. While we associate these tasks with something that adults should teach their children, there exists a gap of hands on training for skills in our society. Needless to say, but people aren’t experts on everything and the “common knowledge” arena is a wide one. My girlfriend talks about raising cows and chickens as a kid while I was deckhanding boats with dad. My mom could sew anything in the house, great with numbers and math, but wasn’t a baker like her mom. It’s okay not to know basics, it’s okay to be good at some stuff, and a complete nube at others.
