abandonedography: Municipal Bath, Berlin Closed for dilapidation, this municipal bath in the Eastern part of Berlin is an unremarkable building from the early 20th century. But under the roof of the central staircase, which links the seperate pool sections for men and women, there is this forgotten gem, a Roman sauna. This sauna is in the so-called expressionistic architectural style, which was rarely ever used except for the facade design of settlement buildings and commercial facilities.
