the-yerkes-dodson-curve:This overwhelming sadness and this everlasting harmWon’t have a chance to catch me as I rest in your arms…My Gothic Queen, she said,“Kill me with love.”My Gothic Queen, she said,“I won’t survive this night.”“Before the break of day,”“Fill me with love.”My Gothic Queen, she said,“Love me till I die.”…Give healing for this bleeding heart,And “I love you.” was the very last she said.- My Gothic Queen by Mono Inc.~~~This song was the inspiration for this painting. The song, my interpretation of it at least, is about a woman, referred to as “The Gothic Queen”, who knows she will die and begs for her lover to stay with her as she dies. “The Gothic Queen” just made me think of Virgil, and then my brain exploded with a concept of Virgil having some sort of illness that he knew was going to take his life, and his lovers Logan, Roman and Patton take care of him as he slowly deteriorates, until he collapses one day. Logan catches him before he falls to the ground and holds him. He can see that Virgil is close to death. Roman runs over and lets Virgil’s head lay on his shoulder and holds him. Patton runs over and wraps his arms around him also. Roman and Patton burst into tears immediately, but Logan tries to stay as composed as he can in order to try and help Virgil even though he knows it’s futile, but when Virgil weakly smiles up at them all, it breaks him. He loves his smile so much. They stay there with him, holding him, until Virgil says, “I love you.” and gasps his last breath. Patton screams. Logan sobs. Roman gently closes Virgil’s eyes and wails. This drawing could also be interpreted as Thomas losing his Anxiety, and therefore Virgil dies as a result.GIVE ME THAT SWEET ANALOGICAL/PRINXIETY/MOXIETY/LAMP ANGSTHere’s the link to the song if you would like to listen to it! -- source link
