thankskenpenders:After a nice little series of shots checking in on the supporting cast to remind us of the far-reaching consequences of this fight, we jump straight into the action promised by last issue’s cliffhanger! Super Sonic vs. Enerjak, at long last. Poor Sonic has gotten very few satisfyingly big, flashy fights against the big bads of the Archieverse, and he never even MET the original Enerjak. But again: now we have a writer who’s seen anime, so we get our big Super Sonic DBZ fight(If Super Sonic looks slightly green to you at some points in this issue, that’s not me. The coloring just looks like that.)I also have to admit that as a big fan of the Advance games I love that this story is titled “Chaos Angel.” That was always one of my favorite zones. I loved the idea of setting the final level on Angel Island for a change and the whole vibe that gave the climax of the game, and that MUSIC. Okay I’m getting sidetracked hereSpeaking of DBZ, I know the obvious argument to be made for Enerjak is as a Broly analogue, but honestly, in the wake of Super, it works really well as a Goku Black analogue of all things -- source link
