talesfromweirdland:Stills, press/publicity stuff, behind-the-scenes photos and the like from the 1962 Brigitte Bardot film, Vie privée (English title: A Very Private Affair). The film more or less mirrors her own life: the crazy mobs, the paparazzi (a relatively new phenomenon at the time), the scandals, the weird encounters with strangers. She had never wanted to become famous in the first place—but she became one of the most famous people of the 20th century. At one point in the film, she meets a creepy old woman in an elevator who starts telling her off for having ruined France, a scene that was taken straight out of her own life. The mad, clamoring crowd that causes her to faint (last image) wasn’t that far removed from real life either, as the image before it (from 1958) shows. The scene has strange music by the way: like crickets in a nightmare. -- source link
