pterosauria:Another weirdly accurate cartoon pterosaur: Henry the Pteranodon from the Magic Tree House anime movie (yeah, that exists). To be fair, the Magic Tree House series is supposed to be educational, but I was still pleasantly surprised.Henry stands on all fours and has the proper number of fingers and toes. Thankfully the film avoids the ever-popular “pterosaurs can grab things with their feet” trope (I’m looking at you, Jurassic World). You can see from the second picture that Jack (one of the main human protags) has to hold on to Henry’s foot himself… not that a Pteranodon should be able to bear the weight of two humans, but oh well.Plus, Henry’s skin is described as “velvety,” possibly meaning he has pterofuzz, and he seems to vault into the air using his forelimbs.Really, my only big gripe here is that pterosaurs are consistently referred to as dinosaurs. -- source link
