david-noel:Russian architects Arch Group have completed the first of their tiny hotel rooms for napping at airports.Airports? Heck, we need this in our office!(via percolate)That looks pretty cool, though I’m not too sure about that location right next to a stairway. The Chinese feng shui practitioner in me feels like it should be a bit more tucked away from traffic. But the design is definitely attractive.I’m also a big believer in having a napping room in offices. In many cultures (for example, oh say, Chinese!) it’s normal for people to take an hour after lunch for a mid-day nap, then you can return to work refreshed rather than burnt out and barely getting by on coffee and sugar. I remember when I was a child spending the day with my father at work, after lunch he showed me how he would lock the door and roll out a sleeping mat for a nap. When I was doing corporate time in New York, sometimes I would actually book a conference room for an hour after lunch, and I’d just stretch out on the conference table. When I opened my own office, I included an alcove with a big sofa which worked well for napping. Living the high life. -- source link
