Birdies Skateboards by Ana V. Francés Surely this happened to you. Introduce you to someone, and think, “Oh, your face is so familiar”. 
Not sure exactly how you know that person, but you get the feeling that this was a day of many, 
many laughs. Well, with “you face is so familiar” and a graphic design course, over 10 years ago,
 began the friendship between Mary and Tania; wear while their longboards wheels through the 
streets of Barcelona, built this adventure together. (text by Tania and Mary) 1.Tell us about the project it in a few lines Birdies Skateboards born of illusion for betting on a new concept of tables, created by and for girls, in which each timber becomes art to design the perfect space. In different formats longboard, cruiser and MINILONG. With the utmost care of the artwork and not forgetting the best materials and equipment.  2.How did your idea come up? We’re friends for over 10 years and we had always had the dream to create something together. Both rode a longboard and are passionate design (maria comes from the world of fashion and Tania world of advertising) and so did the idea of creating Birdies skateboards. 3.Why Skates? Why girls? Both are fond of skateboarding and girls are also illustrators all our team consists of girls too. We understand each other perfectly and work well together, and what emerged by chance has become one of our hallmarks. As Birdies is designed and created by girls brand. 4.Who do you take your inspiration from? Our illustrations are strongly influenced by the world of design and fashion, and basically good for what we like and want in each moment, the more crazy and freak better. 5.Where are you based and why? Both live in Barcelona and love it, is a very cosmopolitan city, is a constant source of inspiration and the world of skate there is widespread. 6. Any future projects? We will collaborate on several events this summer in Barcelona: BRUNCH ELECTRONIK (http://brunchelectronik.com/es) blending gastronomy, the best electronic music of the moment and other activities including skateboarding, where riders will battles, skate classes, workshops for children …. The other event is called OLAGIRLS (http://www.olagirls.com), where we concentrations girls longboards.Serán 3 days of endless parties, concerts, beach, sun, dancing, games, surprises, tapas, wine and much more.
