actuallyqueer:Rather, your repeated and continuous suggestion that the brain is magically the only sexually dimorphic structure that is not subject to being ‘in between’ sexes. Do you have anything to back THAT up?The answer is no; Because even among cis subjects, these differences fall within a range, and there is much overlap between the sexes, and gendered differences fall within an average, not a cut and dried ‘all male-identified brains are like this, all female-identified brains are like that.’The answer is yes. I am aware of these slight differences in brain gender- that not every male brain is precisely the same. Of course they’re not all the same. But guess what? All these people, cis and trans, still identify purely with male or female, despite that. Perhaps an incredibly small minority within that group would call themselves “non-binary”, but it remains true that those differences do NOT stand for a “non-binary brain”, that there are also still people in that group that are completely male or female. So NO, this is not proof of “genderqueer brains”.Until there is a clear physical condition that explains why people would have “non-binary” feelings, you cannot say there is proof. You people coming up with some insane theory like “lol I am both male and female in my brain teehee” and then telling me “haha you can’t disprove that!” is exactly the same as religious people telling atheists it’s on us to disprove their idiocy. You made the claim, you show the proof. In many factors, the brains of trans people do fall within the range of their identified genders, even before HRT emphasizes the differences. Just like cis brains, on average. Some will be more conforming to their identified genders than others. Many will fall in between the overlap of the ranges.Yes, which proves that they were born with this, and that it’s a biological condition that HRT doesn’t affect, and that their brains follow the same theory. What does that have to do with this? There have been no studies, that I’m aware of, of non-binary identified patients. If any have been included in studies, they were grouped within MtF or FtM. Do not act as if there is a scientific explanation for your hatred of those of us who fall in between genders. The fact the idea of a non-binary brain is too ridiculous for scientists to examine, even in this decade where a lot of brain research and transsexual research is being done, says a little something to me. Do not act as if your claim of being inbetween genders isn’t just stupid tumblr talk. -- source link
