The Poachers GunDuring the Victorian Era in Europe poaching was a common crime, done to either feed ones family or make a profit. To escape being caught and facing legal sanctions, poachers often created their own special custom guns. They usually were made so that they could be broken down into pieces and hidden. Some had fold up stocks made of metal, others had a skeleton stock which made the rifle lighter. On occasion some were made that were disguised as everyday objects.
