crateshya:DO NOT REMOVE SOURCE OR ARTIST’S COMMENTS.10 packs of paper clay, a roll of aluminum foil, a big 2x2, a buncha silicone, a plaster shell, more plaster and claycrete, the courteous loan of a dremel sander, a ridiculous amount of acrylics in all the colors of the rainbow, a lotta small brushes, 10 freakin’ hours later, a gloss sealant (though next time I will be doing a matte sealant for sure) some foam on the back, some extra soft velvet, and FINALLY.It is done.I have the feeling I shouldn’t have done that. If just for the amount of effort. ._.It’s weird having a finished mask finally. I don’t get to use my #I’ve met with a terrible WIP tag anymore…well, not until I cast another one, at least. It’s kinda really cool cause ever since I saw HylianJean’s amazing mask on DA I’ve wanted one for myself…and now I have one. Wowee. I don’t think that’s hit me yet :’DI will be making TWO masks for Anime Boston to sell- TWO. One will be a cosplay mask and the other will be an ornamental mask to hang up. They will be selling at $300 a pop. After June 1st, I will be opening up commissions for these, for $300 plus whatever shipping costs will be. I won’t be doing anything else until then, sorry! But if I still have the masks from AB I’ll put those up for sale as well.Special thanks to Werner who sanded the back down a bit, to HylianJean for posting WIPs of how she went about her mask, and for you for looking and reblogging with this long message ; v; It isn’t perfect but I’ll gladly deal with it! -- source link
