Description: Calum Hood, the schools golden boy. He’s the reason that the varsity team is undefeated for four years. He’s got perfect grades, a scholarship to one of the best colleges in the country. But no one knows his secret, that his passion for music is bigger than his passion for soccer. And what happens when Ember Williams finds out that secret? Read to find out! Chapter 10 11. The varsity soccer team won their game. The final score was 6-0, leaving the other team devastated, and our team twenty times cockier. To celebrate the win, the team and a bunch of supporters went to our local pizza joint. Kim, Jess, and I went too, having nearly no choice in going, because Tyler and Calum were so insistent.I had a good time, getting to know the soccer players better. All of the boys were so kind, making jokes, talking to me, making me feel less out of place. Their girlfriends weren’t so welcoming towards me. Most of them just ignored me, but there were a few who were really sweet. Besides a few stuck up girlfriends, all I had a great time, and I think Jess and Kim did too.Kim and Tyler were flirting the whole time, and left together to do god knows what. Jess was chatting up one of the players on the team, who promised to make sure she got home safely. Calum and I decided to head home when he saw that I was getting tired. I didn’t want to make him leave earlier than he wanted to, but he claimed that he was tired and wanted to go to home too.We park a block away from my house, and I turn to ask him why we stopped here, but his lips were on mine before any words leave my lips. The kiss quickly gets heated, and Calum’s hands trail down my thighs squeezing them every so often. His hand move to my butt, and he squeezes it, causing me to gasp. He takes the opportunity to shove his tongue into my mouth. He removes his hands from my butt, and trails them up the sides of my torso. Our tongues battle, and we fight for dominance, him winning. His hands reach the button of his jersey, the one I was wearing, and started to unbutton it.I begin to panic, thinking he was going to take my shirt off. I pull away from his lips, my eyes wide open.“Calum,” I say, worrying about this going too far.He looks me right in the eyes, “I won’t do anything you don’t want me to. Just say stop and I will.”I nod, unable to say any words. He smiles and places a sweet kiss to my lips, before starting to kiss down my neck. His hands continue to unbutton my shirt, stopping after the second button. He pushes the sleeve to the side, along with my tank top and bra straps. He trails hot kisses down my neck, and to my collar bone.He starts to kiss and suck gently on the skin, sending a foreign feeling of pain and pleasure throughout my body. A quiet moan escapes from my lips, and my cheeks redden from embarrassment. He continues to suck and kiss on my delicate, now sore skin. After a few moments he pulls away and blows on it, his cool breath soothing the forming bruise. He pulls away to examine it, grinning at his work. His eyes meet mine, and he smiles softly.“I’ve wanted to do that ever since I saw you in my jersey this morning. I actually wanted to do more, but I don’t want to move too fast.”My eyes widen at what he was implying, and my cheeks heat up. Thank god it’s dark outside so he can’t see how flustered I am from what he just did. I stay silent, not knowing what to say. He reaches out and grabs my hand sweetly.“I want you to be my first Ember, I want you to know that. I’d never do anything to make you uncomfortable, or feel like I’m forcing you do anything you don’t want to, you know that right?” The sincerity in his voice proves what he is saying to be true.I nod my head, “Of course I know that Calum. I trust you completely… And I want you to be my first too.”His smile becomes huge, and he leans in and presses a sweet kiss to my lips, then pulls away, still inches away from my face, “Lets just take it slow, and when the time is right, we’ll figure it out. Alright?”His hot breath fans my face as he whispers softly to me. I nod in agreement, “Alright.”He stares at me, for a minute, then slumps back into his seat throwing his head back.“God I love you so much, you’re so damn beautiful, I’m the luckiest guy alive,” He shakes his head in disbelief, and turns on the car, driving to my house. Once we’re parked in the driveway, next to my car, he turns off his car once more, gets out, and runs around to open my door.He walks me to my front door, our intertwined hands swaying as we do so.“Congrats on the win tonight,” I smile up at him.“Thanks, I hope you liked halftime.” he winks, then smirks.I blush, but smile, “I loved it. It was so sweet of you to do that.”“I gotta do something special for my special girl.” he grins and places his arms around me, pulling me into him. I wrap my arms around his torso, and lay my head on his chest. We sit there in silence for a few moments, just enjoying being held by one another. Calum’s head eventually dips down, and whispers in my ear.“I should get home.”I sigh, and pull my head away from his chest.“Yeah.”He places a sweet goodnight kiss on my lips, then one to my forehead.“I love you,” he whispers to me once again. I could never get used to hearing him say that to me.“I love you too. Drive safely,” I whisper back. He promises he will, and retreats to his car. Once he pulls away I enter my house, and head to bed. This boy is full of surprises.…Calum’s POVI sit in my math class, bored out of my mind. It’s been a few days since I asked Ember to prom. The look on her when I asked her over the speakers, was completely priceless. It took days of cramming and planning that, so that it would work out perfectly. I’m immensely grateful for all the help my teammates, and Kim and Jess have done.Prom is a little less than a month away, hopefully giving Ember enough time to get everything ready and not be stressed out at all. The last thing I want to do is stress Ember out about the hopefully most memorable night of her junior year.“Mr. Hood, have you been listening to this at all?” My teacher asks.I look up to the middle aged woman, “What?”The class snickers a little, and my teacher sighs, “My point exactly. Pay attention.”She gives me a stern look, and continues to teach the meaningless lesson. After a few minutes, the bell rings, signaling lunch. I hop out of my seat, gathering my things, and rush out the door. I hurry down the hallway, to Ember’s classroom. I lean on the locker next to the door, watching the other students. Ember finally pops out, and I clear my throat. Her head snaps towards me, and she jumps a little.“Jeez, it took you long enough. I’ve been waiting here for hours,” I shake my head.“Oh shut up,” She rolls her eyes and grins.I stick my tongue out at her, but take her hand.“I need to put this in my locker,” She motions to her bag.I nod, and we head to her locker. As she places her books into an organized pile, my mind wanders.“We’ve been together for a week now, and we haven’t even gone out on a real date yet.”She stills her actions, and looks up at me.“Yeah, I guess you’re right.”It feels as if we have though. We’re so comfortable around each other, and we’ve met each other’s parents. I laugh lightly, then smile down at her.“Will you go on a date with me?” I ask, and her eyes widen.“Isn’t that what you’re supposed to ask, before we’re together?” she lifts an eyebrow, giving me an amused look.I shrug, “Yeah, but I like to do things my own way.”“I can see that,” she grins and turns back to putting her things away.“You still haven’t answered my question.”She nods her head, “Sure. I’m free on Friday.” She says playfully, and closes her locker.“You’re free today too.” I say, remembering that she agreed to come over and watch a movie after school.“No, I’ve already got plans,” she winks, and starts to walk towards the cafeteria.“Friday it is then,” I catch up to her, taking her hand again. We walk to where Tyler, Kim, and Jess are standing, waiting for us. I smile to myself, happy that my friend group has increased from just me and Tyler, to the five of us. I’m good friends with my teammates, but none of them are as close to me as Tyler. We’ve been friends for years, and he’s the only one who’s really stuck around. Yes, he’s cocky and arrogant most of the time, but he’s still a great guy and a great friend. He used to always hook up with random girls, and not care at all, but when he met Kim, he changed. The change was a good one.“Hey, where do you take someone on a first date?” I ask him, once we’re out of earshot of the girls.“Um… I thought you were with Ember?” he gives me a strange look.I nod my head, “Yeah, we haven’t gone out on a date yet.”He looks at me confused for a moment, then grins, “I have the perfect place.”…The final bell of the day rings, and I jump out of my seat, heading to Ember’s locker. She stands there reading, as always. I don’t call her name, because I know she won’t hear me. I stand next to her, watching her read. Her lips move as she mouths the words, and her nose scrunches up. As she turns a page she glances up at me, then jumps away, shocked by my proximity.“How long have you been standing there?”I look at her book, “About twelve paragraphs.”She blushes and places her bookmark in the book, then shoves it into her bag.“Finally! You made me wait long enough,” I sigh playfully. She glares up at me, and sticks her tongue out at me. I grin at her, then take her hand and lead her to the parking lot. I open the door for her, then walk over to the driver’s seat, and get in. I start the car, and she turns on the radio right when I do. She changes it to a different station, and turns it up once she recognizes the song. She begins to sing along, and I just grin, loving to hear her amazing voice. I start to sing along too, but in a terrible voice. I squeak and go as high as I can. She starts laughing hard, and I continue, just so I can hear her laugh.A few minutes later I pull into my driveway, next to my mother’s car.“I swear I saw her leave for work this morning,” I whisper mainly to myself, then get out and open Ember’s door for her.“Maybe she just came home early?” she suggests.I shake my head, “She would have called, or texted me.”We make our way to the front door, and I reach out to see if it’s locked, like it normally is. I twist the doorknob and the door opens slightly. Confusion rushes over me, and I look over to Ember. She shrugs and nibbles on her bottom lip. I turn back to the door, and push it open.I walk in a little, stopping in the hallway. The kitchen light is on, and I hear things moving around.“Mom, why are you home so early?” I call out.Someone I haven’t seen in the longest time walks out of the kitchen, grinning at me.“Because I am,” she says, walking towards me.My backpack drops out of my hand in disbelief.“Mali?!”Chapter 11!There’s so much fluffy cuteness in this chapter!Mali is home!
