The death mask of Blaise Pascal (1623-1662). Pascal embodied the idea of the “Renaissance man,” investigating mathematics, theology, philosophy, and science. He began his work as a teenager, writing important mathematical books before he was 18 years old. As he got older, he became more interested in philosophy.
