It’s a Swedish folktale, first recorded in the 19th century, but that doesn’t look like 19th century Swedish clothing: what it looks like to me is Renaissance German clothing:(16th century. Note the gathered partlet under the low neckline, the underdress sleeves showing through the lacing at the elbows, and the long chain with large links.
