fannybawws:runmonsterun:As the mood changes to dark from lightTell the doctor what’s become of meSo they can analyze, analyze my dreams.[x]I love this little stalker baby.Tim Drake will forever be “the readers’ Robin” to me. He’s a lonely, introverted fanboy whose love for the Bats (along with obsessively acquired knowledge of their “canon”) helped him become a hero himself. It’s every nerd’s fantasy!I like to think a part of Tim is always squealing with glee about being around his heroes, even at his most jaded moments. He’s an idealist, which is why it depresses and enrages him when heroes aren’t living up to those ideals. His motivation, even from the very beginning, is often about helping others reach their potential (Bruce, Kon, Bart, Stephanie), even if he doesn’t always go about it in the right way. He can be the best cheerleader and the harshest critic.A central part of Tim’s stoicism (in later canon, early canon had a sillier and more open Tim) comes from his desire to conceal the earnest, devoted kid beneath and the feeling of being the person on the outside looking in.The heart of his character is a little boy following his idols around with a camera, and this is a beautiful portrait of him.Of course, I have no idea what they’re doing with Tim in the new 52, but I hope he’s still a big dork. -- source link
