cmog:Like many glassmakers, Frederick Carder wrote his glass recipes down in batch books. Greg Merkel, a local scientist, was able to match those recipes to specific pieces of glass in the Museum’s collection, including this celadon vase. He used XRF scans to identify the chemical makeup of the glass.
