Jabberwocky, by Terry Gilliam (1977)Source of the stills: 1-5 and 6This movie has as little sense as the poem it was named after. It consists of the canonical plots of ‘medieval’ stories: a fearsome monster destroying the kingdom, a king promising a hand of his daughter to the one who slays the beast, a princess locked in a tower, awaiting for her prince charming to rescue her, noble knights testing themselves in a tournament, a commoner being chosen by the fate… “Jabberwocky” has them all in; but all of them are mixed up, twisted, and exaggerated to the point of absurd. It’s silly, funny, and obscure. It’s hilarious. -- source link
