The solar eclipse in that film directed by Richard Donner, broke the spell that allowed Etienne Navarre (wolf at night) to reunite with his love Isabeau (hawk by day) of Anjou. They could only see each other each day at twilight–when day and night were brief otherwise–making this officially the original “twilight” love story. I love this film. I think I’m going to buy this in celebration of the eclipse that begins in one hour. -- source link
