pansneksual:A year of growth and recovery.August 27th 2016 Dipper was dropped off at my workplace in a 5 gallon bucket. An elderly couple found him in their yard, recognized he wasn’t native, and came to us. He was a skeleton. Starved and dehydrated. His muscles were atrophied to the point of his head being sunk in. He was a listless triangle with scabs, dull papery skin, and very little life left.I volunteered to take him home thinking the best I would be able to offer him was a warm safe place to pass away. But he made it through the night. And he made it through another. And another. Within his first week he shed.I assist fed him once and he never needed to be again. He has a voracious appetite for food and life, is incredibly inquisitive, and very sweet.Congratulations Dipper! I’m so proud of him and happy I was able to give him the second chance he deserved. He has tripled in weight and eats like a monster. I look forward to many more years with this little fighteryay dipper!!!! -- source link
