steve-bucky:Can I just, the strategy displayed in that final gif is really excellent? The Winter Soldier uses one gun to aim at Steve’s head and force him to guard that area, consequently exposing his midsection and allowing Bucky to wound him.And this was after he went for both Steve’s head and his knee and had both attempts foiled by Steve’s quick reflexes. The Winter Soldier probably thought, one gun isn’t going to cut it so pulled out the other and specifically thought to use the dual-pronged attack in order to damage his opponent. The question is then why he didn’t go for a more damaging shot - knees, foot, thigh etc. which could have effectively crippled Steve.Possible elements that were under consideration:1. Midsection was an easier target to aim for compared to other areas considering the amount of time he had to line up the shot and Steve’s proximity.2. Steve had gotten too close and Bucky wasn’t confident he’d get out of the way in time if Steve fell forwards. (Note that at this point they were virtually on top of each other).3. Bucky didn’t want to seriously hurt him, just deter him until it’s too late. -- source link
