How he never felt like he was doing enough, studying the Bible enough, praying enough, any of it. I felt that so acutely, because even though I never worried that my salvation was on the line in regard to my performance, I still felt like I should be doing more to please God and live a life worthy of my calling. And I 100% can relate to the freedom he feels in having let that go. It’s amazing how good it is to live your life without constantly holding it up to an impossible standard.
