What’s crazy is it’s been like this since I was a child and prolly even before that.. My mother is a DPS school teacher and ain’t much changed, if anything things have gotten worse. She’s been buying school supplies for her students for as long as I can remember. And please look into the lawsuit against Detroit Public Schools in which the state position is “no fundamental right to literacy exists for Detroit schoolchildren.”The state is currently in court defending these conditions, as well as their right not give our children access to proper education.
