checkyourracismtmblr:ghettodope:I can’t wait until [entertainment comglomerate] comes out with the live action remake of this gif. When old timey racism was just plain fun and innocent. Good old family fun, when lynching black people was a community event. Yes… “innocent”. Yes, the famous lynching scene from a timeless Disney family film. If y'all are too dumb to actually read up on movies, you don’t get an opinion on them. It’s especially stupid considering that, slave angle aside, there was nothing wrong with Remus himself as a character. He was pretty much the nicest one in the movie and one of the few with any sense, and the whole reason he smoked was because Disney wanted audiences to like him (since back in the day, only squares didn’t smoke).He wasn’t even a slave, he was a sharecropper. Not that that was much better in most places.Honestly, I’d kind of like to see this movie someday just to see what all the fuss is about. -- source link
