In nearly every little kid flashback we have of them, Ed is always near-bullying Winry (as you know, six year old boys do to their crushes or whatever). He’s always telling her to stop being such a cry-baby and to stop throwing tantrums because it’s not cute. Let’s add to the fact that Ed isn’t a very openly affectionate person, naturally.
