sinnerzinthehandsofanangrygod: The Tomb of Ligeia (1964, Roger Corman)After completing her nightly beauty ritual of brushing her hair, the Lady Rowena catches her reflection in the mirror in the moonlight night as she is lying in bed. She goes to her vanity to discover the black hair of the dead woman, Ligeia, in her hairbrush. I really loved this scene, which is not in the original Poe story, because it’s so unexpected yet also such a natural way to show her mirroring of/connection to Ligeia–to perform an act of beautification and at the end discover that you’re a different woman. -- source link
