neutronstarchild: It’s that time again for your friendly neighborhood Neutron to wax poetic about one of the most amazing things about the Inuyasha fandom. That we have a chance to participate in the fanworks, no matter if we create, participate, or sit on the sidelines, we get a chance to not only read/consume, but also choose the amazing creations here!There are fandoms out there where a single person gets to decide “what’s hot.” If your ship is not to that one person’s liking? If you write in a way that they’re not cool with (1st person present just happens to be the tense that makes them rage?). If you accidentally sneezed on this mysterious person’s cousin once? You find yourself on the outside looking in. Not in Inuyasha. Here, we as an entire fandom get to participate and choose together what we like. That is something that is special, and something that has kept me here, writing, and being inspired. And I don’t think we thank @feudalconnection enough for this.So… my dear followers and friends, you should use that voice, because your using that voice keeps the gates open. Your using that voice keeps this fandom closer to a democracy than to a dictatorship. I saw the derpy little puppy trying his best after Kagome’s friends confused “boy friend” with “boyfriend”. Well it’s a story of Inuyasha taking on the quest to be the best boy friend (with the help of his friends) and ultimately, finding that it all meant so much more.The One Who Speaks My Name(Best Fluff)This was a story that got designed and written for the ethereal @dawnrider‘s birthday (with commissioned art from @thunderpot!). I wanted to do a take on Rumpelstiltskin. Inuyasha works perfectly as the bargainer, desperate to escape the curse that shackles him, then he meets Kagome, the person who wishes unselfishly. It’s a fluffy fairy tale, told about two souls who are supposed to be together, finding their path to happily ever after (it involves a peach.)As always, I hope that you’ll sit down and open that ballot, because having a fandom that is ruled by a democracy is something precious that we all should protect ♥️ -- source link
